Dr. David Nguyen-Nhon completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2015 and began his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2019. His postgraduate research on post-operative pain following root canal treatment was published in the Australian Endodontic Journal, which led to a consultancy role in the clinical evaluation and regulation of endodontic materials in Australia.

2022, Dr. David Nguyen-Nhon was appointed Endodontics Co-Convenor for the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Melbourne. Alongside his academic responsibilities, he practices privately and works part-time at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, treating patients from both metropolitan and rural Victoria.

He also contributes to the profession as a peer reviewer for journals including Dental Traumatology and the Australian Dental Journal, and is an active member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Endodontology (Victorian Branch), and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
